Every so often, my weekend timetable doesn’t strictly fall under my radar. I still go after what requires more prioritization, like household chores and personal errands – although now and again, our mood sways further to the side where we just don’t want to do any activities at all.
Summer in the Middle East (in particular) limits our selection of outdoor toils – and this drawback makes more serious upshot if summer envelops Ramadan (observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad according to Islamic belief).
During this season, some of the regular practices that are known to us are somewhat ruled-out (especially during fasting on the daylight hours) – eating and drinking in public, rowdy sounds/music, offensive dressing, demonstrative acts of affection in public, cracking jokes or making pranks, and many more.
At the back of my head, whenever free hours are not fully utilized, guilt of sluggishness comes in. This is why - I put in comfy outfit, tie the shoelaces, run to wherever that pleasures my eyes … even if it costs me a cup of coffee ... after all, the TIME (we thought) we enjoyed wasting was not really wasted.
