Since the vacuum sewerage infrastructure project for Al Raha Gardens in Abu Dhabi was awarded to Corodex Electromechanic, a part of Concorde-Corodex Group (CCG), on March 28, 2006, the post tender stage was never a hard nut to crack for the team as it has been carrying out an enormous number of renowned projects in the UAE and other Middle Eastern countries, particularly on vacuum sewerage system (in conjunction with Roediger, Germany).
Mr. Ebrahim Moussa, Projects Development Officer, who opened the contingency of prestige for Corodex-Roediger through the trust of ALDAR Properties, is the project’s backbone. Evidently, the developer had entrusted the stint to the team, who gathered experiences worldwide, while partially commissioning in the said AED 5 million-project.
The system supports 750 villas (4,000 PE) and has 171 vacuum valves and 6 km vacuum lines to 1 vacuum station in this distinguished community development. A gravity is needed for 1 & ½ years, while vacuum system for 5 months. The promotion of the sewer system construction has been much urged with the environmental and life style improvement rationales.
A sewer system made was suitable to this community as compared with the conventional gravity sewer system. A vacuum sewer system works just like a large canister vacuum cleaner. Sewage is vacuumed into the system and collected at a central point where it is treated.Certainly, investment cost was saved, so as its construction period that ended last month.
Another on going undertaking that’s handled by Roediger is the Durrat Al Bahrain project with vacuum system that supports 1,600 villas (10,500 PE) within 11 islands. It has 420 Roevac vacuum chambers with 3 inch-valves and 28 km vacuum lines to 3 vacuum stations. Its completion this year will again mark Roediger’s esteem in world-wide technology.
