Majority of those who know me could attest how I loved to take photos. Picture frames are main attractions at home. Well, not to mention my father's keenness for blown-up portraits. Those were all my father's invested bits and bobs. Although I didn't personally meet my grandfather, lolo Ping, who died of tubercuosis in 1970, papa had shared numerous stories about him and mama flor. Lolo Ping's family was well-off. He was a lawyer by profession while others were into medicine and missionary. His other half, mama Flor, seemed an Imelda Marcos of her time (particularly in Ligao), was crowned Miss Ligao then. Lolo Ping got sick due to routinary gambling. They produced seven offspring. Academic remunerations are also draping the wall.
Notes: Imelda Marcos- is the widow of former dictator Ferdinand Marcos, and is herself an influential political figure in the Philippines. She is known as the "Iron Butterfly". Miss Ligao- a beauty pageant for selected women in Ligao, Albay.
